The Lore
Robin Hood was sung about for roughly two hundred years before anyone gave him a Marian. She is not in the oldest ballads at all. She had to arrive from somewhere else entirely, and once she did, no version of the story worked without her again.
Before the plays and the books, Marian was the May Games. Every spring English villages crowned a Lord and Lady of the May, and the pair became Robin and Marian for the day. She started as something people did together, not something they read. A community ritual, which is a funny thing for a token to inherit and an accurate one.
Anthony Munday put her on a London stage in The Downfall of Robert, Earl of Huntington as Matilda Fitzwalter, a nobleman’s daughter hunted by King John, who takes the name Marian when she follows Robin into the greenwood. Before Munday, nobody had ever connected the two.
Thomas Love Peacock wrote a novel titled simply Maid Marian. In telling after telling since, she is the one who meets Robin in disguise, fights him to a standstill, and is only then recognised. She was never the prize at the end of the story.
The noblewoman who could have stayed warm and chose the forest. The one on the inside, with the ledger, the keys and the long wait. Robin gets the arrows and the exit. Marian gets everything that has to still be there when he doesn’t come back.

Every telling hands Robin the arrows and the exit. Hers is the half of the legend about what survives him, and that half turns out to be the only part of this story that is actually a technology problem.
What she guards
What happens to your coins when you die? Millions are already gone that way. Not stolen, just locked behind a key nobody else knew existed. Every other asset a person owns has a way to reach their family. Crypto, uniquely, does not. That is a solvable engineering problem, and the Keep is what we are building to solve it. It is in development, not live. Here is how it works.
You check in now and then: one cheap transaction, or any ordinary use of the vault. Stop checking in and a long claim window opens for the people you named. You can cancel it at any point while it runs. That window is the entire safety net, and it is deliberately slow.
Name your Merry Men. If the key is lost rather than you, a quorum of them can move your balance to a new address after a delay only you can veto. No single guardian can act alone, and none of them can ever spend.
Set a waiting period before anything leaves, and a ceiling on how much can leave per epoch. A stolen key drains a trickle instead of everything, and you get the delay you need to notice.
Marian is a contract, not a bank. It never takes custody, holds no deposits, and has no operator who can move your tokens. The rules are the ones you wrote, enforced by code you can read.
The Keep is not built. This is the mechanism drawn as something you can press, so you can see what a missed check-in actually does before you ever trust one with money.
$MARIAN is the watcher’s bond on the Keep. Post it to flag a vault that looks wrong, lose it if you cry wolf, earn from it if you were right. That is the job the token is being built for, and the Keep is being written in the open so you can watch it happen.
The watch
Pons pays a token’s creator 70% of the 1% pool fee, in ETH, on every trade. Most creators pocket it. Marian splits it with the people standing the watch. You are not paid for holding. You are paid for taking a post.
1 month = 1×, 6 months = 2×, 12 months = 3×. Your share accrues on amount multiplied by time served.
Not because the number would be bad, but because printing one would be a lie. Fee revenue tracks trading volume, trading volume tracks attention, and attention is not an interest rate. Any project quoting you a fixed annual return on a memecoin is either guessing or paying you out of the pile you just handed them.
What you will see instead: fees distributed to date, and your realised share. Numbers that already happened, which are the only honest kind.
The plan
$MARIAN goes live on Pons. Fixed supply, no mint function, no team unlock schedule to wait on. This is the part that exists.
The fee distributor: lock $MARIAN, take a share of Pons creator fees in ETH. Roughly 150 lines of Solidity against the Keep’s 400, with a far smaller blast radius, so it ships first and gives the token a real job sooner.
The vault contracts written in the open on Robinhood Chain testnet, with the full test suite public. Free to break. Please break it.
A contract that guards inheritances cannot ship on good faith alone. No mainnet deployment until an independent audit is published in full, findings included.
